Kefalonia Airport

Kefalonia Airport is located 9 km from Argostoli and is easily accessible from the provincial road Argostoliou-Lakithras. The journey to and from the city centre takes about 15 minutes.

 Initially constructed in 1971. It has forgone many changes so that it can accommodate the continual tourist growth over the years thus providing commerdable transportation for all sorts of people from all walks of life. The summer season is the busiest season bringing in flights daily internationally and domestically. The airport affords travellers all necessary facilities including duty free shops, cafeteria, bar, souvenirs and jewelry and car hire. You will also find ATM machines, wifi, parking, travel agencies and taxi services. There is no public transports from airport to the city of Argostoli etc, so it is recommended that you take a cab or pre book a hire car from Arivaro Auto. Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian islands and we highly recommend that if you wish to see this incredibly beautiful island a hire car will be the best way to do so.
